DESCRIPTION:Arlington to Host EcoFest Summit: Growing Our Sustainable and Resilient\nCommunity\nGathering to be held at Town Hall on April 26 th from 10-2PM\nThe Town of Arlington is excited to announce its EcoFest Summit, a vibrant in-person\nevent dedicated to fostering sustainability and resilience within our community.\nScheduled for April 26, 2025, from 10:00a.m. to 2:00p.m. at the Town Hall Auditorium,\nthis free event is open to all residents and community members.\nBuilding on the success of last year’s Environmental Summit, this year’s EcoFest\nSummit will center around the theme “Growing Our Sustainable and Resilient\nCommunity.” Attendees will explore actionable strategies for enhancing sustainability at\nhome and in public through collaboration and community engagement.\nA key focus of this year’s EcoFest Summit will be to highlight themes from Arlington’s\nSustainable Landscaping Handbook and the Net Zero Action Plan. Participants will\nlearn how to implement eco-friendly landscaping practices that promote biodiversity,\nconserve water, and reduce carbon footprints. Additionally, discussions will center on\nthe Town’s commitment to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions, providing\ninsights into how residents can contribute to this ambitious goal through energy-efficient\npractices and sustainable living.\nThe EcoFest Summit will feature:\n Keynote Speakers: Inspiring talks from local leaders and experts in\nsustainability.\n Workshops: Hands-on sessions designed to equip participants with practical\nskills and knowledge related to sustainable landscaping and energy efficiency.\n Community Organizations: Opportunities to connect with dozens of local\ngroups dedicated to environmental initiatives and community resilience.\n Networking: A chance to meet like-minded individuals and organizations\ncommitted to making Arlington a greener place to live.\nThe EcoFest Summit will kick off a month-long series of events aimed at promoting\nenvironmental awareness and action throughout Arlington.
