Arlington to Host EcoFest Summit: Growing Our Sustainable and Resilient
Community

Gathering to be held at Town Hall on April 26 th from 10-2PM

The Town of Arlington is excited to announce its EcoFest Summit, a vibrant in-person
event dedicated to fostering sustainability and resilience within our community.
Scheduled for April 26, 2025, from 10:00a.m. to 2:00p.m. at the Town Hall Auditorium,
this free event is open to all residents and community members.

Building on the success of last year’s Environmental Summit, this year’s EcoFest
Summit will center around the theme “Growing Our Sustainable and Resilient
Community.” Attendees will explore actionable strategies for enhancing sustainability at
home and in public through collaboration and community engagement.

A key focus of this year’s EcoFest Summit will be to highlight themes from Arlington’s
Sustainable Landscaping Handbook and the Net Zero Action Plan. Participants will
learn how to implement eco-friendly landscaping practices that promote biodiversity,
conserve water, and reduce carbon footprints. Additionally, discussions will center on
the Town’s commitment to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions, providing
insights into how residents can contribute to this ambitious goal through energy-efficient
practices and sustainable living.

The EcoFest Summit will feature:
 Keynote Speakers: Inspiring talks from local leaders and experts in
sustainability.
 Workshops: Hands-on sessions designed to equip participants with practical
skills and knowledge related to sustainable landscaping and energy efficiency.
 Community Organizations: Opportunities to connect with dozens of local
groups dedicated to environmental initiatives and community resilience.
 Networking: A chance to meet like-minded individuals and organizations
committed to making Arlington a greener place to live.

The EcoFest Summit will kick off a month-long series of events aimed at promoting
