Earth Day: In Love and Rage

Join us for Earth Day 2023 to make our demand heard:

No New Fossil Fuel Infrastructure!

Rally – March – Party

We will meet at 3:30pm at Boston City Hall and march, dance, process our way to the State House, where the party continues at 4:30pm.

Click here to read the letter we sent to Governor Healey and Climate Chief Hoffer stating our demand for No New Fossil Fuel Infrastructure in Massachusetts.

This event is a family-friendly rally and party! While we, Extinction Rebellion Boston, advocate for and rely on nonviolent civil disobedience at other protests, we will not engage in that form of direct action for this Earth Day event.

More information on speakers coming soon.

Rain Date: Saturday, April 22 at 2pm

Please RSVP here to stay up to date on details

In Love and Rage!

Accessibility: fully accessible on public plazas and sidewalks

Documentary Screening and Vegan Buffet

Animal agriculture is a major contributor to the climate crisis and environmental degradation. So why aren’t governments and climate organizations promoting a shift to a plant-based food system?

Join us for a screening of a new 33-minute documentary that examines this question and the politically unpopular truths that governments worldwide and environmental groups must boldly acknowledge.

3 p.m. – Film screening followed by discussion (FREE)

4 p.m. – Stay for a multi-course vegan buffet of soups, salad, appetizers, and multiple entrees. $12 + tax + tip.

Annual Earth Day Charles River Cleanup

We hope you will join us for this year’s Annual Earth Day Charles River Cleanup!

The Earth Day Charles River Cleanup builds on a national effort as part of American Rivers’ National River Cleanup®, which has removed over 25 million pounds of trash from America’s waterways. Our cleanup brings together over 3,000 volunteers each year to pick up litter, remove invasive species and assist with park maintenance along all 80 miles of the Charles River.

By volunteering with CRWA, you’ll be able to participate in the cleanup of the parks, forests, and paths along the upper portion of our river in Newton, Weston, Wellesley, Dedham, and more! In an effort to be more environmentally friendly, we encourage volunteers to bring their own pair of gloves. Trash bags, picker-uppers, and other cleanup materials will be supplied to those who wish to participate.

REGISTER AS AN INDIVIDUAL, FAMILY, NON-PROFIT, OR SCHOOL!

Individuals, families, and non-corporate groups are encouraged to participate in this year’s Charles River Cleanup on Saturday, April 22nd, 2023. To support CRWA’s mission of protecting and preserving the Charles River, we would greatly appreciate a suggested donation of $5 per person.
